The year was 2002. Mohterma Benazir Bhutto was still living in exile in Dubai, and a Pakistani satellite news TV channel was launched which soon become "The talk of the region". GEO NEWS started its broadcast from Dubai with previously un-known names. The likes of Dr. Amir Liaqat, Nida Fitima helped Geo News change the media landscape in Pakistan & fast established itself as a leader in providing reliable news with unmatched & unheard pace & accuracy.
In November of 2002 Geo News broadcasted its first LIVE Program Front Line with host Kamran Khan & a very special guest Mohterma Benazir Bhutto from Dubai Media City (DMC).
This video is "behind the scene" footage & it shows early days of Geo's studio in DMC.
Also present in the footage is the current security advisor to the PM, Mr Rehman Malik sitting outside the studio.
You can also see in this video, Mr. Nasir Baig Chughtai aka NBC, the late Mr. Sohail Taqi, who was the first technical director of Geo News, M.K Abbas, Asadullah Khan, Ms. Shabana Mehfooz, Suleman, Babri, Ejaz Haider and many others. These are few of many who remain unknown to the public but who were instrumental in making geo news happen.
One really important personality who is not present in this video is Azhar Abbas who was the main force behind Geo News success and was in Karachi at the time of this Broadcast.
