Success in life requires clear-cut rules to follow. Without definite objectives, one may get lost on his way to his destination.

Although going with the flow is the safest choice in one's life but still Just wondering, if following certain set of rules really leads to some success?

First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to read and share your heartening views. Good to know that somebody is equally proficient both in Urdu and English.
As far as success in life is concerned, it all depends on the desire to accomplish definite goals in life. The more substantial the objectives ahead, the more disciplined one has to become, and here comes the need to formulate rules to stay focused and not deviate from the path of success. Coincidently, my other poem reflects the same idea as yours regarding success, and I will share it soon.
And when I fail miserably to express myself in Urdu, I take refuge in composing something in English. So I'll keep writing for sure. hahaha​

Laugh and the world laughs with you.
Weep and you weep alone.
There was a time when people used to give and forgive, but now we only intend to get and forget!

If we only know that love is a verb and it is essentially allowing others the space to be:
1. they way they are and
2. they way they are not

Let us join hands in making relations with ourselves.
Love & my prayers are with you always,may Allah’s blessings be with you always Aameen

For example
Might is right
Always think about self gain
are today's world rules and may lead to success in this material world
Similarly
Right is right
Always think about others
are rules in morality and will lead to the dooms day success
----

Well, you are correct that success may mean different for all people. Regardless of that what success for someone is, one has to follow a roadmap to get there. Otherwise, all the efforts will sooner or later end in smoke. And for this, one
has to abide by the rules to reach the destination.
