Famous Urdu poet Ahmed Faraz visits Houston Texas in 2005 where Adeel Zaidi had arranged a evening with him. Ahmed Farz was presented an award and at the end he recited his poetry. Parveen Shakir , reciting poetry in Dubai. [پروین شاکر​

Most famous Urdu Poetess from Pakistan. she had a great fineman influence over her poetry, which made her different from other poets and poetesses. Parveen was born on 24th November, 1952 in Karachi, Pakistan. She received two undergraduate degrees -- in English literature and linguistics. She was a teacher for 9 years before joining the Pakistan Civil Service, where she served in the Customs department. In 1986, she was appointed second secretary, CBR in Islamabad. In 1990, she taught at Trinity College, Connecticut, USA, and then did her masters in public administration at Harvard University in 1991. In 1994, she died in a car accident at age 42. ​
She is survived by her son, Syed Murad Ali

Faiz Ahmed Faiz , reciting his poetry. {Mehfil e Mushaira}

Faiz Ahmed Faiz 1911-1984: He is one of the major Urdu Poet of 1900 Century. Faiz is a "committed" poet who regards poetry as a vehicle of serious thought, and not a mere pleasurable pastime. An admirer of Karl Marx and a poet of the people, Faiz was honoured by Soviet Russia with the prestigious Lenin Award for Peace and his poems have been translated into the Russian language. His poetical collections include Naqsh-e-Faryadi (1943), Dast-e-Saba (1952), Zindan-Nama (1956) and Dast-e-Tah-e-Sang (1965)​
