The thing that astonishes me is your way of posing problems at the forum. By no means I've claimed that Pak Nastaleeq is utilizing some "advanced technology" or somewhat similar neither I've mentioned any quantum computing here so how you're going to take it like that?
Look at your words please:
"According to one of the developers the font uses a 'very advanced technology' something which is totally new and is not currently available in most linux distributions. These features are 'curs' 'Reverse Context Chaining' and 'Group Processing'."
"What bothers me is the developer's claim that It is too advanced to be supported by most Linux distros. Since government and Microsoft are going to push this font I think it must render perfectly in Ubuntu. I want to know why this font doesn't in Ubuntu right now."
The correct way was to ask them what rendering engine they are utilizing? What OpenType features they've implemented
and how much? I am a very good programmer myself and even I could write piece of code for them to fix these problems
but the way matter is put forward is quit impolite...
Lastly, Microsoft is not intrested in Pak Nastaleeq at all neigther its funded by her you should keep this in mind. You thinking is quit amazing if
you feel that with the help of a 157 KB font file (Pak Nastaleeq), Microsoft can through the Linux in dark allays...
Rather its me who is contineously asking modifications in there framework and yet the discussion is ongoing with no
exciting results.
If you're taking the matters as a crusade between the Operating Systems, I apologize to assist you in anyway.
Moreover, I might have to re-think my public relationing policies regarding this.
Best regards,
Mohsin Hijazee
