A French mayor has declared 'war' on a popular Middle Eastern kebab and said that he will not permit new kebab restaurants to be opened within the borders of his town.
Robert Menard, who is known for his Islamophobic stance as a mayor in the southern French town of Beziers, slammed the existence of kebab restaurants and said there were just "way too many immigrants and kebab restaurants" in the country. He noted that he would not give permission for more kebab restaurants to be opened within the borders of Beziers.
