[align=left:54e7351985]Hello Mohsin,
Peter Constable and I would be most happy to interact with you and others to make processing nastaleeq more efficient. Often times in the processing model for text the process of adding spacefor justification would be done at a separate time after the amount oftext for the line has been determined. However, there could be caseswhere spacing processing to avoid the collision of dots with the shapeof the jour could be desired. Please feel free to contact me directly for further discussions. I willbe sure to get the right people involved on the Microsoft side so we cansee how we can make nastaleeq processing more efficient and effective.
Regards,
Paul Nelson

Specially for Paul Nelson...
Hello!
I hope that you will be fine. We've been using VOLT in order to deploy fonts for last 3 years. Yet working on Nastaleeq, we've developed a fully working Nastaleeq font named Pak Nastaleeq which is far more faster even in comparison to the commercial efforts of this sort. But still we feel that some problems of Nastlaeeq rendering are to be tackeled in a pretty much ill-logical way and that's definately resource consuming yielding far less effciency. We need to add a couple of features in OpenType which will help us to better render Nastaleeq style of calligraphy on computeres.I will be writting a detailed proposal regarding this. However shortly, we need a feature which can automatically space a connected series of glyph with the provided amount.Another feature that we require is regarding mark placement. But this Idea is yet being looked into and I will let you the details regarding this as I am clear myself.
Best regards,
Mohsin Hijazee
