[This post is dedicated to all PTI Women who show up at the Dharna and support the movement openly ; we are proud of you]
"Whoever works righteousness, man or woman, and has faith, verily to him will We give a new life that is good and pure, and We will bestow on such their reward according to their actions." Quran 4:124.
Today I received a signal from Allah that I am on the right path. I knew from the beginning that this path would have its obstacle but did not experience it first hand up until now.
On Sept. 26 PTI-USA staged the largest foreign political protest in US history. People came from all over the United States. Elders, Families, teenagers, children showed up to make their voice heard against the fake government of Nawaz Sharif. Go Nawaz Go was chanted for well over 8 hours and it was arguably the most impactful protest against Nawaz Sharif outside of the Pakistan.
I came along with my wife who has very little interest in Pakistani politics but from the very day that this protest was announced I was surprised by the way she supported me in helping organize this protest. She went out to get material for the dupattas, ordered a special IK kurta for herself and stayed up the night before the protest helping me with the placards. This was a very proud moment for me and on the day of the protest I was gleaming after hearing her chant Go Nawaz Go.
We took many photos together and one of them was posted by the PTI Social Media team on an official page. It was a very proud moment for me and my wife. I felt as though her political life was in its infant stages. This happiness continued till the afternoon of 27th September when I received a message from her at work that look what comments she was getting on that photo.
After looking at the comments I was ashamed at the comments that some people had put. It really upset me that a happy loving couple who showed up to support their country and political party could be hurled such shameful abuses by people. Some of the comments were so upsetting and personal that it was very hard to control my anger. We have a baby on the way and people stooped to such a low level to comment on our future bundle of joy. After a few minutes of pondering over what happened it hit me that Hazrat Ali R.A said, “Surely silence can sometimes be the most eloquent reply.” I decided not to stoop to the low level of the trolls commenting.
It said that behind every successful man their is a woman and behind PTI’s success it is all the mothers and sisters who have stood up against the status quo. These PMLN trolls always try to hurl abuses against women thinking that they are weak but they are PTI’s strength. They say behind every successful man their is a woman and behind PTI’s success it is all the mothers and sisters who have stood up with Imran Khan. I know that being followers of Imran Khan we are working for Naya Pakistan, a Pakistan where women would be given the respect that they deserve, a Pakistan where women would be the backbone to a prosperous Pakistan.
I do not wish to respond to the abuses hurled at me and my wife today. My answer would to take a look at the passion of all our females coming to the dharnas and the love for NAYA PAKISTAN in their eyes. Tabdeeli Aa Nahi Rahi, Tabdeeli Aa Gayi Hai. Our love for Imran Khan is even greater than it was yesterday because of all the hate we have received. We must be doing something right. The day is not far when all these abusers would be hiding in their sack waiting for their master to come rescue them and those masters would be begging for forgiveness from the people of Pakistan.
I would like to end this by a quote of Hazrat Ali R.A. “Jiska Raabta Khuda ke Saath Ho Woh Nakaam Nahi Hota, Nakaam Woh Hota Hai Jiski Umeeden Dunya se Waabasta Hoti Hai.”
