Tear gas used on Pakistan protesters

Pakistan police have fired tear gas at anti-government protesters marching on the official Islamabad residence of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Demonstrators loyal to opposition politician Imran Khan and cleric Tahrul Qadri have been taking part in a sit-in for two weeks.

Khan gives countrywide strike call after situation deteriorates in Islamabad
TV footage shows the youths of the two parties retreating after tear gas shells were fired, with several of them getting injured during the mayhem. The protesters also pelted stones at the police personnel and have set fire to several trees and bushes.

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - Pakistani police fired teargas after thousands of protesters threatened to march on the prime minister's house to force him to resign, a police source said.
At least 8,000 protesters have been rallying in the center of the capital Islamabad for more than two weeks, demanding Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's resignation, but so far the demonstrations have been peaceful.
On Saturday night, protesters threatened to move on Sharif's residence.
